A focused session where we listen before we design. We learn how you use your space, what is not working, and what matters most to you, so every recommendation that follows has a clear reason behind it.
Good rooms feel effortless because the layout is right. We work through traffic flow, storage placement, furniture scale, and natural light to make your floor plan work harder without looking busier.
Compact spaces reward clever thinking. We guide apartment renovations from brief to completion, balancing visual calm with the storage and flexibility that smaller homes demand.
The most-used rooms in any home deserve careful attention. We design kitchens and living spaces that handle daily life well, with finishes and layouts that still look considered years later.
The right pieces in the right positions make a room feel complete rather than assembled. We source and place furniture, textiles, and objects that reflect your taste and hold together as a whole.
Our Work
A warm, layered living area for a young couple in Tribeca. The brief was comfort without clutter, and flexible enough for both quiet evenings and casual entertaining.
Custom joinery, soft neutral palette, concealed media storage
A full kitchen redesign in a prewar Upper West Side apartment. The goal was to open the space and bring it in line with how the owners actually cook, without losing any of the original character.
Integrated appliances, stone countertops, ambient task lighting
A master bedroom redesign in Brooklyn Heights focused on rest and simplicity. Natural materials were prioritised throughout, with storage resolved entirely within the existing footprint.
Oak textures, layered lighting, built-in wardrobe system
A 550 sq ft apartment in the East Village that felt much smaller than it was. A reconfigured layout, lighter palette, and purpose-built storage turned a frustrating space into a genuinely comfortable home.
Multi-use zones, hidden storage, lighter spatial palette
A primary bathroom in a SoHo loft rebuilt around a spa-like brief. Every finish was chosen for longevity as much as appearance, with the layout reworked to feel more open than the original footprint suggested.
Floating vanity, large-format tiles, brushed nickel accents
A floor-through renovation in Park Slope that removed a dividing wall and rethought the entire social area. Zoned lighting and a consistent material language tie the kitchen, dining, and living areas together.
Zoned lighting, custom shelving, cohesive material palette
How We Work
We meet at your home or by video call to understand your goals, budget, and timeline. We walk through what is and is not working so the project starts from a clear and honest foundation.
We present a concept direction covering layout ideas, material references, and mood. This is where we align on the feel of the project before any detailed decisions are made.
We finalise selections, resolve technical details, and produce furniture and finish schedules. By the end of this phase, everything needed for execution is confirmed and documented.
We liaise with contractors, tradespeople, and suppliers on your behalf, attend site when needed, and manage the details so the finished result matches the design.
Client Stories
We had lived with a dysfunctional layout for three years and assumed it was just the apartment. Elm and Form showed us it was not. The difference is remarkable.
The kitchen and living redesign changed how we use the whole apartment. It is practical in a way our previous renovation never was, and it looks better too.
What stood out was how much they listened before offering any ideas. The end result felt like us, which is harder to achieve than it sounds.
